Sailing cruises Summer 2025
In summer 2025, we will be heading to Scandinavia, where we will experience the magical midsummer nights and endless sunsets in June. In August, three trips will start in Burg on Fehmarn, from where we will explore the Danish South Sea.
And at the end of October we’ll be back on Mallorca! We start in Palma and explore the Balearic Islands from there.
Here are our trips for summer and fall 2025.
Dates
To Scandinavia in the most beautiful time of year
7th - 14th june 2025 Fehmarn - Aarhus
“Back to the roots - navigation with compass” (WLINTA*: Women, Lesbians, Inter, Non-binary, trans, agender) no cis men
We start from Burg on Fehmarn heading north to the Danish islands. The trip ends in Arhus on the Danish mainland, which is easy to reach by public transport.
You can expect a varied navigation with open stretches, busy shipping routes, the Great Belt Bridge, narrow fairways, remote islands and quiet bays.
We visit various harbors, but there is also the option of anchoring.
You will also have the opportunity to experience a summer night cruise with its endless twilight and brief darkness.
We navigate in the traditional way with paper charts, compasses, and navigation triangles. (Of course, the yacht is equipped with the latest technology, we just voluntarily do without glowing screens ;-))
If you like, you can try your hand at being skipper of the day and planning the route.
14th - 21st june 2025 Aarhus - Gothenburg
“Midsummer in the Kattegat - in the footsteps of the Vikings” (WLINTA*: Women, Lesbians, Inter, Non-binary, trans, agender) no cis men
Over a thousand years ago, the Kattegat, the sea area between Cape Skagen and the Danish islands in the Baltic Sea, was characterized by the culture of the Vikings.
They built beautiful ocean-going ships with which they traveled from here to Russia, the Mediterranean, England, Iceland, Greenland and America.
They were masters of navigation and left their mark on the nautical vocabulary of many European languages.
We bring literature on the history of the Vikings and visit historical sites or exhibitions as desired and possible.
Midsummer was (and is) one of the most important holidays in Scandinavia. On this occasion, we will look for a nice anchorage to be able to pay tribute to the shortest night of the year with its almost endless magical twilight.
No previous knowledge is required. You can actively participate in the operation of the ship (from setting sails and steering to navigation) and will be shown and explained everything that is of interest, but you can also simply let yourself be rocked by the waves and enjoy the passing landscape.
21st - 28th june 2025 Gothenburg - Gothenburg
“Out and about in the western Swedish archipelago” (WLINTA*: Women, Lesbians, Inter, Non-binary, trans, agender) no cis men
We start in Gothenburg and find ourselves directly in the western Swedish archipelago with its thousands of small and large islands, each of which looks different:
Round rock domes overgrown with colorful lichen, wooded hills, flower meadows, barren steep cliffs, islands with isolated small houses or fishing villages…
The exciting navigation through the labyrinth of rocks will amaze you.
At night, we can visit small harbors, anchor or even moor directly on the rocks. And if we’re very lucky, we might spot trolls and wild druds
Summer on the Baltic Sea:
9th – 16th august 2025 Fehmarn – Fehmarn
“Maneuver training for crew and skippers – without exam stress” – sailing maneuvers, mooring and casting off, trip planning, crew management (WLINTA*) no cis men
On this trip, you will have the opportunity to practise exactly what you want to do with professional help and a practical approach.
In contrast to classic sailing license training trips, we also have the opportunity to try out different versions of manoeuvres.
We are not interested in perfection, but in learning and gaining experience in a playful way and with as little fear as possible.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced skipper – you never stop learning and all WLINTA* are welcome in our crew.
16th – 23rd august 2025 Fehmarn – Fehmarn
Sailing in the Danish South Seas – and nothing works without technology… (WLINTA*) no cis men
While we explore the Danish island world – sailing, anchoring and going for a swim – we also take a loving look at the technology that, when it works, makes our sailing life easier.
There is always something to maintain or repair on board a ship. Whether it’s the engine, steering gear, rigging, pumps, electrics or safety equipment – we take a look at what’s important:
How do we keep an overview, what can we do ourselves, where can we find information and help? The focus will depend on the interests of the participants. No previous knowledge is required. You can actively participate in the operation of the boat (from setting sail and steering to navigation) and will be explained and shown everything that is of interest, but you can also simply let yourself be rocked by the waves and enjoy the passing scenery.
23rd – 30th august 2025 Fehmarn – Fehmarn
“Living Baltic Sea – porpoises, terns, sailors” (all gender)
We start from Fehmarn and let the wind decide where we sail.
North to the Danish islands, west to the Flensburg Fjord, south to the Bay of Lübeck or east towards the Bodden waters.
No matter where we end up, the Baltic Sea is still full of life despite all the adversity. Seagulls, terns, porpoises, seals, fish, luminous plankton, mussels, jellyfish, algae, crabs… We take a look at who we share the Baltic Sea habitat with and what consequences human influence has on our fellow inhabitants.
If you feel like it, you are invited to get involved with a (favorite) animal in advance and then share the large or small finds with the crew. This could be a picture, an interesting text from history or science, a piece of music, a cuddly toy or whatever.
Soak up the sun before the winter blues: Mallorca
26th October – 2nd November Palma de Mallorca
“Wind and Waves” (WLINTA*) no cis men
When it gets cold and uncomfortable in Germany, we are drawn to the south. We set off from Palma at the end of October and from there we will sail along the coast of Mallorca and, if the wind is favorable, explore other Balearic islands.
On this cruise, we take an in-depth look at the major topic of every sailing trip: the weather and its effects at sea.
We look at the big picture to understand how high and low pressure areas develop and migrate and also take a look at the special wind systems in the Mediterranean.
We look at the clouds and weather reports and learn what conclusions we can draw from them.
The trip starts and ends in Palma de Mallorca and we plan the route together to make the most of the wind and weather: Sailing as much as possible, avoiding engines, keeping waves and swell in mind, finding calm anchorages.
02nd Nov - 09th Nov Palma de Mallorca
"Books on board" (all genders)
Even at this time of year it is often still very warm on the Balearic Islands, the water temperatures are around 20°C, but the anchor bays are no longer as crowded as in the high season. Depending on the wind, we explore the coast of Mallorca and the small Isla Cabrera or even cross over to Ibiza or Menorca.
On this sailing trip, we will be accompanied by our favorite books – whether reference books, sailing biographies, comics, poetry or prose. If it gets a bit chilly in the evening, we simply put on a sweater and read to ourselves or let ourselves be inspired for new reading adventures.
No previous knowledge is required. You can actively participate in the operation of the ship (from setting sails and steering to navigation) and will be explained and shown everything that is of interest, but you can also simply let yourself be rocked by the waves and enjoy the passing scenery.
